Each starter should incorporate an ammeter. The inclusion of an ammeter may be questioned as the starter will not be constantly monitored, however the maintenance crew on their routine patrols and carrying out maintenance will find it invaluable.
To enable the SCADA system to fully monitor the motor the starter should incorporate a multifunction transducer that measures all the electrical parameters of the motor. The SCADA display should show all three phase to phase voltages, all three phase currents, the total kW, the total kVA, the total kVAr and the overall power factor, it should also record and display the energy usage of the motor in kWhrs, kVAhrs and kVArhrs.
For motors above 50kW it is a statutory requirement in England that it’s energy use is monitored, a requirement brought in, theoretically to encourage energy saving, by that well known fat useless tosser (English politician) John Prescott nickname Jabba the Hutt, deputy to the evil (Scottish politician claiming to be English) Tony Blair nickname Emperor Palpatine, hope they rot in hell.
If English politicians were serious about energy saving they would remove VAT (a UK tax) from insulation products, solar heating systems and photo voltaic cells; that they have not, and have in fact increased the tax on these items, indicates that global warming is just another excuse to relieve the English of their hard earned money by the political master class (politicoscum). Another energy saving ‘device’ would be to move the time zone of England forwards by one hour which would give lighter evenings the year round thereby saving on energy, lowering carbon emissions, and costing consumers less, as less power would be required for lighting. This was in fact proven during the second world war when double summertime was the norm for that very reason. Did not politicians bring that in to lower the amount of coal used in the power stations – so why not now; it just shows what spineless hypocrites and band wagon jumpers the politicoscum are.
One last simple way of saving energy, and lowering carbon emissions, force the public electricity suppliers to reduce the supply voltage from 415/240V to 400/230V±6%; originally the supply was 415/240V±6%; so re-introduce the original limits at the lower European voltage everything would still work and we would all gain because our electricity bills would reduce. But of course the politicoscum will not do that as it would reduce the tax take on our electricity consumption and lower the profits of the electricity supply companies which would upset the foreign governments that own them.
In England you work to exist in most other countries you work to live, which is why so many hard working and talented people emigrate why should they pay for the know nothing do nothing scrounging scum class and be forced to donate tax pounds to overseas aid whilst services are staved of money in England and the indigenous people are pushed to the back of the queue for the remaining services.
